Anju Modi showcased a collection that “captures the grandeur of the Mughal era”

Anju Modi showcased a collection that “captures the grandeur of the Mughal era” through Mughal Angrakhas with draped pants, layered tunics, sarees and lehengas in colours like ivory and black with a dash of maroon and made of Varanasi brocades, velvets, nets and tissues.

“The collection is called Maya and there is a little spirituality to it. The message is that life is continuous and I tried to show that how life keeps on happening as we try to see what life is, what God is and what luxury truly is,” Modi remarked.
Designer Indian Clothing from Jattinn Kochhar presented a collection called “Black Magic” where black, metallic ash highlights and various interpretations of the classic zebra print were displayed in the form of gowns, cocktail dresses and jumpsuits in asymmetrical shoulder, drapes, pinafore and empire line.
“The collection has a hint of black magic but everything is simple and all of it is wearable,” Kochhar said.
Designer duo Paras and Shalini brought forward a collection called “Whispering Flowers” while presenting a reinterpretation of old world charm with its feminine and delicate look.
“The dresses are very elegant, pretty and feminine. There is a lot of tonal work and we have used symphony embroidery,” Paras said.

Most Stylist Maternity Outfits : Victoria Beckham'

The designer, who ranked in the site's 'top brands' long before she was in its 'top celebrities,' is only outdone by new number one, Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, TV reality stars Kim Kardashian and Olivia Palermo, and model-turned-actress Gemma Ward.

This week's trends on Polyvore are an eclectic mix of trapper-inspired items (ponchos, faux fur vests), 1970s hippie looks (flared jeans, floral skirts) and 1990s grunge (e.g., lace up boots). Capes are returning to the charts thanks to a trend on last week's couture runways, and it's official: friendship bracelets are back.

Serena Williams' Swimsuit Shoot For Harper’s Bazaar

Serena Williams, back-to-back Wimbledon champion, is showing off her sporty curves in the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar, set to hit stands July 20. The fashionista is no stranger to designer labels: she rocked Burberry to celebrate her Wimbledon win and in the shoot she donned a white Eres one-piece swimsuit as well as a pale pink Fendi dress. Photographer William Klein shot the editorial while she discussed her thoughts on beauty, body image, and even reflecting on her own issues,"Since I don't look like every other girl, it takes a while to be okay with that… To be different. But different is good. I was 23 when I realized that I wasn't Venus. She's totally different. I'm super curvy. I have big boobs and this massive butt. She's tall and she's like a model and she fits everything. I was growing up, wanting to be her, wanting to look like her, and I was always fitting in her clothes, but then one day I couldn't.”We have to praise Williams for sending a healthy, positive message to aspiring fashionistas worldwide, and looks incredibly chic while doing so. Model Larissa Riquelme to run nude despite Paraguay's loss to Spain

Though they were eliminated from the World Cup by Spain on Saturday, Paraguay may be the biggest winners of the tournament.

The South American team still has something to look forward to at home. Lingerie model Larissa Riquelme will still run through the streets of Asuncion naked.

"It will be a present to all of the players, and for all the people in Paraguay to enjoy," Riquelme said to Metro UK.

The news is a suprise to the many disappointed Paraguay fans whose hopes of seeing Riquelme show her goods were dashed by David Villa's game winning goal. She had originally planned to streak only if the team brought home the World Cup.

Why the sudden change of heart?

"They tried as hard as possible and gave it their all on the field," said the busty model.

Hot Fashion News - Eva Mendes: We can show guns but not nipples!

September 5, 2008 (Sawf News) - Eva Mendes cannot understand why the censors allow guns to be shown on TV but not nipples. "That is a little backwards to me," the star said on Ryan Seacrest's morning show on KISS FM on Thursday, September 4.

Eva Mendes, 34, explained the circumstances under which a glimpse of her 'girl' made it to Calvin Klein's 'Secret Obsession' perfume commercial, which was not aired by US networks for being too provocative.

"That was me doing what I do… that is rolling around in sheets…

"I am the face of their new perfume 'Secret Obsession' I was rolling around in bed for the commercial spot. You know…I had a little situation…one of the girls wanted to say hello without letting anybody know so she…basically I had a nipple slippage. It made the commercial because it was so natural and so beautiful and it was very quick.

"We can show guns every where but we can't show woman's nipple. That is a little backwards to me."

The creative director for the commercial, Fabien Baron, earlier expressed his frustration at the commercial's rejection saying:

"You must be kidding me. This country really needs a new president - this country is so messed up," said Baron. "It's such a joke and it's quite upsetting, frankly, how hypocritical this country has become. It's OK for children to see people killed by guns? Spreading a little love right now would be a good idea.

"She is being a little sexy, but they are not provocative," added Baron. "They are really well done. The spot is really beautiful - I really can't believe this is happening.…I don't know what else to say."

Despite being pulled off the networks, or possibly because of being pulled off the networks, the commercial has become a rage on the internet, giving Calvin Klein a lot of publicity at no cost.
